The Massage Therapy Foundation and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professions (ABMP) are currently offering a free workshop, “Teaching Research Literacy.” (ABMP page; Foundation page)  The workshop is open to “massage educators,” including “massage program teachers, school owners, and massage school administrators,” or anyone part of their “Instructors on the Front Lines” series [1].

The complimentary Teaching Research Literacy workshop is a six-hour NCBTMB-approved workshop for massage educators that teaches how to incorporate basic principles of research literacy into a school’s existing curriculum. ABMP is sponsoring this workshop so massage program teachers, school owners, and massage school administrators can experience it at no charge. Read more…

Dr. Jerrilyn Cambron and Jennifer Dexheimer will attend the workshop in September 2012 in Lombard, Illinois.  Dr. Cambron believes that “learning about research literacy is important so that massage therapists have access to current research in order to offer the best client care.”
