Human Protections

This online course is free and provides you with some excellent information regarding the protection of human subjects, including an interesting historical perspective on why regulations became so important in research. In order to participate in some of the MassageNet studies, you will be required to complete annual training on human protections in research. To complete this course, follow the link below to new user registration, and then follow the course instructions. The course takes approximately one to two hours to complete. You do not have to complete the course in one sitting; in fact, it is suggested that you only do a few sections at a time. There is a quiz that needs to be completed at the end of each section. After you have completed the course in its entirety, you will receive a certificate. In order to participate in some MassageNet research studies, we will ask that you complete this training and provide us with a copy of your certificate. There is usually an annual re-training required in Human Protections for active study therapists.
